Cookie Policy

Effective date: April 2026  ·  WELMA Inc.

This policy explains what cookies and analytics tools pressfixer.com uses and why. We ask for your consent before loading any analytics — you can accept or decline on first visit, and change your choice at any time on this page.

What We Use

The three localStorage items exist only in your browser and are never transmitted to any server. They are not cookies in the technical sense and do not require consent under GDPR or Quebec Law 25.

Google Analytics

If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymisation enabled. GA4 sets first-party cookies in your browser to distinguish sessions and recognise returning visits. The data collected includes: pages visited, referral source, browser type, device type, and approximate location (country/city — not precise). This data is processed by Google LLC and may be stored on servers outside Canada and the EU.

We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking. We do not share the data with third parties.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics on all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

What We Do Not Use

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies (no Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, or similar).
  • No cross-site tracking.
  • No session recording or heatmap tools.
  • No data sold to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.

Your Analytics Preferences

A consent banner appears on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time here — the site works exactly the same either way.

Current preference:

Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking all cookies may prevent your theme and text-size preferences from being saved. For browser-specific instructions, visit aboutcookies.org.

Legal Basis

For visitors in the EU and EEA, analytics cookies are set only on the basis of explicit consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). For visitors in Québec, consent is obtained in accordance with the Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (Law 25). For visitors elsewhere in Canada, we follow PIPEDA’s consent requirements.

Functional localStorage items are set on the basis of legitimate interest; they are necessary to provide the preferences you choose.

Data Retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months (the minimum configurable period in GA4). Your consent preference is stored locally in your browser until you reset it above or clear your browser storage.
